[The Beatles EP includes, 'Twist and Shout', 'A Taste of Honey', 'Do you want to know a Secret?, and 'There's a Place'. BTW, the Beatles were known as the 'Fab Four' and are: Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and John Lennon, but better known simply as John, Paul, George and Ringo.]
As applied to records, the term EP or Extended Play were recordings which were too long to qualify as singles, but too short to be called an album.
LPs or Long Players (also known as albums) were 12 inch records played at 33 rpm and typically contained 4 or 5 tracks per side.
The Moog Synthesizer was popularised during the 1970s, by performers such as Ike and Tina Turner. A particularly memorable recording of 'Nutbush City Limits' appeared on Top of the Pops with Pan's People in 1973.
